Our Vireyas are shipped in their containers with a years supply of our special fertilizer and complete cultural instructions. We ship whenever the national weather pattern is favorable (not too hot and not too cold) UPS 2nd Day Air, 3rd Air, or UPS Ground (eight working days to the East coast). Our main shipping periods are from February 15th to June 1st., and September 15th to December15th.

The size of the plants is dependent on the variety chosen and the time of the year sent, since they are in nearly continuous growth except during our coldest months. A rough estimate follows:

One year middle band	Two year 6 inch band	Three year 2.6 liter	Four year gallon
4" to 10" tall	6" to 15 " tall	10" to 24" tall	12" and up tall

We have found that quite a few varieties produce buds during their second year, and the majority do so in their third year. A few are hold-outs for the fourth year. The plants on the following pages are listed in alphabetical order by type, i.e. species, named hybrids and then un-named hybrids. The price schedule is indicated with a capitalized    "A", "B" or "C".

Examples of Vireya sizes at 8 to 10 years:

Compact : 1 to 2 feet

Moderate : 2 to 3 feet

Tall : 3 to 5 feet

In many cases, a plant with small flowers will also be smaller growing than one with large flowers. Vireyas do not have a blooming season but often bloom throughout the year. None of these plants are cold hardy.
