Vireya Species Rhododendrons -- Named and Un-Named Hybrids

We are working on inventory right now and shall have a new list of hybrids up here soon
* The American Rhododendron Society has chosen
the plant 'Harry Wu' as the Vireya of the year for 2002 and 'Calavar' for
2003.
* Vireyas hybrids with R. javanicum, brookeanum,
jasminiflorum, loranthiflorum and zoelleri in their parentage adjust better
to low elevations and hot or humid areas. We will help with suggestions
if you are in doubt.
